I probably won't try another unless this gives me problems. So far I've only used Bitdefender Complete on Win 10, I am very happy with it, I have no idea if it's better than Defender of any other antivirus. I'm happy to leave MS making great Operating Systems and buy security from a company who only make antivirus systems.īefore I purchase a system I read loads of top 10 antivirus reviews from pc mags etc, I've found that most of the time, if an antivirus company isn't advertising in their mag/site then they won't be in their top 10 list, even if they are number 1 in the next mag/site top 10? I love Win 10, it's the first OP that I haven't felt a little lost from the start, Microsoft are doing a fantastic job, all updates have run smoothly etc etc but my logic say, the company who make my car only make cars and do a great job, I put diesel in it from a company who only make fuel and they do great job. The problem is for each operating system I've had I've only used 1 or 2 types of antivirus programs, I know which I prefer for Win 95, 98, Millennium, XP and 7, I've been very happy with one that work well on 98 but wasn't happy with it on XP, so I'm not sure how I could compare them or say which was the best. Per your other post about Firefox, I've used it all along, and have no problems or issues with it at all on any of the OS I've used to date, as for Edge, I can't deal with it, but if you find it usable, go for it.Ĭlick to expand.Hi, My first reply, I'm no expert but have used most antivrus programs over the years. Only the firewall and anti virus need be checked.Īlso once installed, the data base is pretty big, and will be updated. I've used it for years, and have no problems, it runs well on W10 Pro 圆4.īe advised however, to pay attention with the installer, make sure you un check anything not related to the program so nothing gets installed except the security suite, also click on custom install, and uncheck stuff like Geek Buddy, this isn't needed. I use this "Free" Security Suite called COMODO, its rated as good as any of these things and it is free, a total package AV, FW, and anti malware.

That said, something is better than nothing.

As far as "security" goes, nothing is 100%, if it was developed by "man" it is crack-able/hack-able.
